Boiler overhaul in general is required both for periodical preventive and corrective maintenance. Boiler overhaul is aimed at maintaining the boiler to perform at its highest and safest condition, so that it will not incurred unnecessary losses to the owner and so to the company as well.
The general activities that will be included in boiler overhaul are; cleaning, safety & checking, setting, and sometimes even tube replacement or reconditions refractories when necessary.
